Selecting Bases |

A single base can be selected by clicking anywhere above or below the base in question within its trace pane. The base letter, position number, and quality value (if present) of the selection will be displayed in the status bar. The selection can be moved back and forth using the arrow keys (as long as the trace is in focus). If the trace window is in focus, a focus rectangle will be displayed around it. Tabbing or clicking on the trace will put the trace window in focus. A range of bases can be selected by:
Highlighted data can be observed on the Sequence page of the Chromatogram Info dialog by choosing View > Chromatogram Info or by choosing the Nucleotide Sequence in the Context menu (see Contextual Menus). Bases in the Highlighted data can also be copied to the clip board by selecting Edit > Copy from the menu, by typing cmd C (Mac) or ctrl C (others), or by choosing Copy in the Context menu (see Contextual Menus) When a range of bases is selected, the beginning position, ending position, and length of selection will be displayed in the status bar. To deselect highlighted data, click on the application anywhere on the background, excluding the toolbar dock and menu bar. |
